Most people would know Hannah Gadsby doing this…
And she is doing that, at her show Mrs Chuckles every day at 4.45pm
But, this year Hannah is also using her secret weapon, a degree in Art History and Curatorship at the Australian National University to give you a show that is not only funny but historically acurate, looking at the life of Mary, everyones favourite Virgin.
Sound interesting? Here she is talking about some other art…
Hannah’s guided tours of the collections at the National Gallery Victoria have become one of the must-see cult shows of recent Melbourne Comedy Festival, selling out every time.
And so for this years Edinburgh Fringe, EdCom is proud to present her exclusive show Mary. Contrary. for only 8 Performances

Not interested in art or virgins?
No worries, Hannah is also doing a straight stand-up show called Mrs Chuckles, which has done very well in Australia, winning the prestigious Director’s Award at the 2010 Melbourne Comedy Festival and being
Barry Award-nominated for Best Show at the 2011 Melbourne Comedy Festival (where she had to be moved to a bigger venue following ticket demand), Mrs Chuckles is a tale of mild success and utter failure told in a manner of vague indifference and total incredulity. It is mostly funny and only fleetingly offensive.
So from a comedian that doesn’t smile, and laughs even less, comes a smash-hit show!
“A joy from start to finish” **** (The Age 2011)
“Piercing razor-sharp wit” **** (Chortle)
“Deadpan, cutting wit…an assured performer” **** (The Scotsman)
