7 Days to go – Here’s John Lynn!

While John Lynn could be considered a newbee on the circuit, his cv says different!

Within mere months of taking the stage for the first time at Dublin’s legendary Comedy Cellar, John had starred on RTE’s Liffey Laughs; then it was on to BBC’s One Night Stand, Kilkenny’s The Cat Laughs and appearing alongside Tommy Tiernan at The Third Policeman’s Ball, celebrating the work of Flann O’Brien. He has performed at the prestigious invite-only Montreal Just For Laughs festival and has just signed a deal with Universal to release his first stand-up DVD.

and he’s got some pretty awesome reviews…

“The much vaunted Lynn… like Tommy Tiernan played at the wrong speed: relaxed in his incredulity at his situation rather than ranting and raving at it. One of the fastest rising stars of Irish comedy.” Chortle

“The rising star of Irish comedy.” The Sunday Times

“Filthily funny” The Guardian

“Cracking comedy, has a finger on the jittery pulse of our cash strapped age, well worth catching.Daily Telegraph

And while a review is only one person’s opinion, we think those are impressive, despite the fact that Chortle also said,

“He may have a haircut straight out of a Seventies wedding photo,”
but why not watch a video and make your own mind up!

Intregued?

Well John’s show page is busting full of how and why to see his Edinburgh Finge show ‘Social Notworking’ which is on almost everyday from the 3rd to the 28th of August (not the 15th) At the Gilded Balloon, and you can buy tickets Here.

7 Days till the Fringe Starts!

(we conveniently have 6 acts and The Showcase Show, and everyone knows 6 + 1 = 7!)

So, come back each day to see videos, read reviews, be dazzled by the number of stars our acts have had in previous years, and get an idea of what EdCom has to offer this year at the Fringe.
